Keep an eye out for mildew
Even though a long sellby date, the. second unused baguette goes mildew very soon after opening the packet. Not good.

Tesco homebake baguettes cook quickly and go lovely with Tesco tomato soup on a cold winter's day. I like how they have a long use by date.
Good product when fully baked
It was good quality, but as with other times I have had this product, it always takes longer to bake than the instructions say. They say 8-10 minutes at 200 in a preheated fan oven. I have found that the loaves need at least 12-13 minutes in a preheated fan oven at 200
Always buy these. We even have them with our Christmas dinner!
tastes horrible. I couldn't eat it and they both went straight in the bin.
Incredible Shrinking Baguette
Have been buying these for years. Can't understand the packaging issues people have, split them and freeze them it's not Rocket Science. They are a good stand-by and great with Ham & Cheese. My only issue is the size. They are shrinking, more like a Sub now. I can remember when they used to fill the packaging, not so now but of course the price does not reflect the shrinkage. Either reduce the size of the wrapping or make the Baguettes bigger like they used to be. Admittedly they do not taste like a French Baguette but we are in England, say no more!

Sent this instead of menissez. There is no comparison despite the fact it comes from France. If you like dense English bread you may like it. ( and its not sourdough which makes it difficult for me.)
Sweet taste and soft pappy texture.
These were sent as a substitute which I accepted to give them a try. Looked good when baked, but to eat found them a soft, pappy texture and sweet taste. Would not buy again. Usually make our own bread but buy Slooow or Menissez brands part baked as a stand-by. Will stick to those brands in future. Very sorry that the Menissez granary baguette is no longer available: it was the best.
These are gorgeous!
These are gorgeous! Ready to eat from frozen in less than thirty minutes, and with a lovely crispy crust!
Don’t like the new taste
They really don’t taste the same anymore. In fact they taste nothing like a baguette now. It’s a shame because they used to be quite a reasonable product, even if they were far from matching a fresh baguette. If you like sliced bread, I suspect you will still find these okay. But I won’t buy them again.
