Stews and casseroles need a higher temps to cook to perfection - hob or oven - after a good wack in the slow cooker. Dumplings need a hot bubbling gravy to cook in. Slow cooker temps is not enough if you want really good dumplings - and meat dish too, come to that.

Great to have in the freezer for when you want a quick addition to your stew/casserole. Used them many times and never had a problem. Great tasting, quick and handy. The people who are have given negative feedback aren’t cooking them properly!

From frozen for a Beef stew. A hour in a slow cooker at the end of cooking. Solid, claggy. Tried left over stew in casserole dish in oven for 45 mins. Solid, claggy. I'll use T's dumpling mix next time. John
