Gone off

Phew! What a smell when I cut into the first one. I am still "tasting" this and am off to have a cup of tea in the hope that I will clear this odor! It was rotten right through and slimy.

Rotten shallots!

2 stars

This bag of shallots are mostly rotten. Never had a veg delivery quite this nasty. There seems to be no way to directly complain about such things now. Disappointed not to be able to use any of them, they were intended to be used, some of them anyway, in a casserole tonight. But they are black and slimy inside. I would post a photo if I could.

Rotting, disguised by excessive layers of brown skin. Never had problems with shallots I have grown or bought elsewhere.

Might I suggest, after extolling the qualities of your North Lincolnshire growers, that stating 'Produce of the Netherlands' somewhat detracts from its veracity!

Pleasantly surprised

I was a little hesitant to get these as the reviews aren't great. but, I have been pleasantly surprised. Fresh, taste good and value for money. I am hoping this is the standard and that I wasn't just lucky that I got a good bag as I do want to purchase again. They are very tasty.

The entire pack was mouldy - the only reason I haven't complained is because of COVID

Bad batch

I wouldn't normally write a review for produce since the supply constantly changes, but felt I should as maybe this will flag to management. I agree with the previous two reviews, I bought my bag on Tueaday morning (it is now Thursday) and three of the larger bulbs had mold on their ends and were green and sprouting inside. There also lacked a best before date on the bag. Don't these things usually last eons? Otherwise, these have admittedly been delicious.

Several rotten shallots in the bag, not good quali
