jus rol shortcrust pastry
the pastry is excellent and i often make a plum and almond torte. i bake the pastry blind for about 12mins but find it will shrink unless i let it overhang then trim it when it is cold. is it me?

So handy to keep in the freezer. Lovely pastry for pasties - nicer than the ready rolled one I used to buy. Two blocks of pastry in the bag, so just take one out and put in a bag to defrost in the fridge overnight, and seal the other one to keep in the freezer (unless you happen to need both blocks!).
2 pastry blocks-frozen together
Great I thought, buy two… less packaging less waste. Use one, keep one in the freezer for later. But both the blocks were frozen together. I had to thaw both to get them apart, and because they were thawed I had to use both immediately. The pastry was great, but the packaging let it down.
Perfect pastry
Just as pastry should be. It rolls out beautifully. I made a large lemon meringue pie with it, baked blind initially and it turned out perfectly. Exactly as I would make it, but without all the mess.
Great pastry
I don't understand why there are negatives. Its brilliant pastry; it tastes good. I love making corn beef and onion pie. Great product. And its easy to use.
Use it regularly now
Great! Don't understand negative reviews. I found it very soft and rolls out thinly, working first time unlike my own efforts many years ago.
Horrible
Bought this when there was no fresh pastry available. It really is terrible. Jus rol shortcrust is usually pretty good although never quite as 'short' and rich as the old Saxby brand which it replaced some years ago. However, for some reason this frozen example is as tough and hard as old boots. I think their fat to flour ratio is all wrong and the dough has definitely been overworked. Why this should be so inferior to their fresh version I don't know but it's not worth buying. Horrible.
Why is this showing in the Gluten Free section ???

Don’t bother
It took forever to roll it thin enough. The once it was cooked it was hard and thick
great
Lovely pastry when you don't have time to make your own, surpasses any other frozen pastry I have tried.
