Porridgy
This product failed to convince me that is was the 'true taste of Scotland'. But, notwithstanding, it was quite porridgy. I would only buy this product if you are quite sure you want porridge.
Inedible oats due to perfume contamination
I love Scott's Porridge Oats but in this occasion the product had been somehow contaminated with a very strong perfume probably some sort of laundry product and was inedible.
Good morning start
Hurray, a cereal without added vitamins! I'm on extra Vitamin D and it is hard to find a cereal which I will not overdose on. I wonder if they might consider a special with dried fruit in it - raspberries, strawberries say.
GREAT OATS
These as far as i am concerned are the best porridge oats i have been buying elsewhere for a while as my tesco was often out of stock. I have been having these oats for a very very long time and i have tried the cheaper ones to save a bit of cash etc. We always come back to these, we make with milk, i like oat milk then a half sliced banana each and a sprinkling of wonky blueberries and raspberries. Sets us up for the day come rain or shine. We do buy a lot of the ingredients from another well known store as tesco is often too expensive but they dont do Scotts oats.
Revolting.
This product has been around for decades and I think the perception was it was a good product. I think it is now far too refined and when cooked produces an insipid slop which does not begin to resemble oatmeal, very shocking given the cost of this.
The only one for me
The only one for me.
Eco package and great oats
Lovely oats.....and well done Scott’s for the simple cardboard box packaging.
feel the warmth of the oats
best breakfast ever i love it and its.not just for breakfast i have it any time of day
IMHO......best oats ever
Definitely great oats.....every time. I’ve been enjoying this brand for over 50 years and no matter how you choose to make your porridge this brand always delivers. Oats cook quickly leaving deliciously creamy porridge even when made with only water (yes readers, this is a perfectly good recipe) but lately I have been making with a 50/50 milk and water blend, no salt, a smidge of sugar and then a generous sprinkling of Tesco’s sweet cinnamon.......mmmmmmm great start to the day.
stick with these
I recently bought another brand of oats as I had run out of Scott's. Never again. We are not fussy people but they were truly awful. We could not finish the first bowl I had cooked. The birds will be getting the rest. There was no comparison to these. I will always stick with Scott's in the future.
