Deep velvety chocolate melts into a roasted malty mollases with a drying coffee and light vanilla caramels. A truely indulgent rich deep porter.

One of my favourite beers. So full of flavour. Smooth and nutty. Filling too.
Great ale, rounded with multiple flavours, chilled with company and fond memories of drinking this as draft ale with college friends in my home town..

Full bodied, rich texture with gloriously layered tones, this is a long-term favorite for a reason. The most social of ales, to be savored at a leisurely pace in good company. Equally good around a barbecue or in the cosy confines of a country pub, after cricket or an evening's hard work, this is hard to beat. A wonderful mature brew.
Master stroke for Tesco’s to stock this beer.
Excellent beer. Full bodied, dark beer which makes a wonderful trip from cask to bottle without losing any flavour at all. A good move by Tesco to stock this classic Theakstons beer.
Best bottled beer ever
Hi, I am a lover of good beers and this has to be one of the best bottled beers I have ever tasted. The bottle says it is unpasteurised which is probably what makes all the difference to the taste. I would not normally go for dark beers but this has so much flavour it is worth a go for any beer lover. Trust me!!
