South African spirit at its best
This is a beautiful South African drink
Our favourite tipple
I made the "mistake" of buying a bottle of this for my wife at Christmas. We have been consuming a bottle between us every week since then. It's great. Lovely and creamy. The makers provide financial support to help protect African elephants.
sweet moorish replacement for Baileys
Amarula is a delightful exotic fruit liqueur, not as heavy as baileys because it is made from the Marula fruit, which when fermented assures you receive ample sugars during your consumption. Offsetting any relative hangover as compared to scoffing a bottle of Baileys. Wonderful in your brunch coffee or served over Ice as an aperitif. A sweet story is the fact that the luscious fruits ambrosia qualities were discovered by native Africans over 2000 years ago when they observed elephants and other creatures would eat the fallen rotten fruit and get drunk. The people harvested and mixed the fruit with goats milk and voila! - Amarula was born.
Very tasty a little on the sweet side but very nice
if you love cream liqueur then try this great
nothing to be said with love it
Good on its own or with brandy
Makes a good gluten free alternative to Baileys, which is made with whiskey, and is very palatable. It mixes well with brandy for a type of Brandy Alexander, Perfect!
