Chablis AOC. Appellation Chablis Protegee. Product of France.
A crisp white wine with apple fruit and citrus flavours and classic mineral finish. Chilled as a perfect aperitif, or try with fish or white meats. The region of Chablis lies in the north of the Burgundy area, and produces wonderful wines from the chardonnay grape grown on the unique clay soils. Store in a cool, dark place. To enjoy this wine at its best, drink within 1 year of purchase. Once open drink within 2 days.

After the grapes have been picked they are left in thermo regulated stainless steel tank where fermentation takes place. Just before bottling, the wine is cold treated and filtrated again.
The Cistercian monks from the Abbey of Pontigny began growing vines here in the 12th century. The vineyards of Chablis run along a little river aptly named the Serein.
The ideal location and climatic conditions of northern Burgundy combine to produce the top quality Chardonnay grapes that make this Chablis. Chablis is the largest of the four Chablis appellations.
