Though present in Trentino since the end of the nineteenth century, Pinot Grigio, with its typically copper-coloured bunches, has only recently attracted the interest of consumers, due mainly to the excellent quality it produces here. As is well known, this grape variety depends to a great extent on the environment in which it is grown both in terms of climate and soil: it has therefore only spread to a number of regions, especially Trentino. The training systems used are mainly Pergola Trentina and Guyot.
Anselmo Martini
The Vallagarina valley, which is the stretch of valley the River Adige runs through south of Trento, features a climate with hot summers and a good difference between day and night temperatures during the ripening period. The climate and soil conditions in this area contribute significantly to the particular characteristics of the grapes produced here which, if skilfully vinified, produce particularly crisp wines with wonderful aromas and balanced palates.

This example of an inexpensive near generic Pinot Grigio is really rather good, especially for the price asked. Perhaps not the fruitiest available but very drinkable all the same. Excellent for the money.

Pinot Grigio label can be too all embracing and I have had some indifferent ones bordering on bad. This one however is worthy of the label and very drinkable as an everyday "stand alone" wine or with food.Whether it is "oaked" or not,it has that slight pleasant "oak" backtaste like a subtle chardonnay.Very refreshing.

I purchased this wine on the strong recommendations of others. This was a bad mistake as on purchasing six bottles, the quality and taste of the first bottle left much to be desired. So I am drinking this wine as a midweek drink only; I suppose that due to the initial price I should not have expected a decent quality wine. I will not be buying this wine again.

I have tried many Pinot Grigio's, however, many can be either too fruity or to acidic for my palate. Simply Pinot is lovely and refreshing having a smooth texture making it very easy to drink with or with out food. I highly recommend Pinot Grigio lovers to sample this one!

Great either on its own or white pasta or fish. Would recommend to all wine lovers that require a gentle wine without an acidic aftertaste

This is a light easy drink, but with flavour. It best suits summer but I drink it all year.

Currently PG is the biggest selling white in the country and at this price "Simply" PG illustrates why. Fresh, crisp with a hint of gooseberry it's emminently drinkable for the festive season and one not to be afraid of opening at any time of the day (or night).

I don't like over-flavoured white wines such as some Chardonnays and Sauvignon Blancs. I prefer wines such as this one which seems designed to accompany food. Not bland but not over-stated, this Pinot Grigio is versatile and extremely good value.
