This is really smart Cava, made by one of the region's oldest producers.
Codorníu has been making wine since 1551 and this bottle-fermented sparkler is rich with apple and lemon fruit, bound together with delicate bubbles.
Makes a brilliant match for smoked salmon or mackeral pate.
Made from grapes from the fantastic 2009 vintage, this blend of Macabeo, Xarello and Parellada work together extremely well. It’s bright with crisp citrus and apple flavours, and the bubbles give it a gorgeous lift. This goes well with canapés, or fish and chips – seriously!
