A delightful combination of blackberry jam and ripe bramble flavours, smooth and soft, packed full of rich and a touch of cinnamon spice.

This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 2 years
A graduate in biology from Dijon University before studying oenology at Bordeaux, Bertrand became the Winemaker for Labouré-Roi in 1995. “As a child, I took my first steps in Beaujolais vineyards and they went on to shape my adolescent dreams. Initially, I modelled my wine by imitating the older, traditional produce. Later, I let my imagination roam, abandoning empirical methods and modelling the vines with the respect they deserve. I accepted my fantasies but always maintained the authentic balance of the landscape and the soil. Every year, I work hard to respect what nature entrusts to me. My vocation is to pass on this creative work, to give pleasure to all those who love great Burgundy wines and share my simple passion. Wine!”
Bertrand Straebler
Fleurie is one of the 10 Beaujolais Crus. The appellation area is in the southern part of the Beaujolais vineyards, to the north of the Rhône département. It is surrounded to the north and the east by the Moulin à vent appellation, to the west by the Chiroubles appellation and to the south by the Morgon appellation. The vines are planted on hillsides. The Fleurie appellation covers approximately 900 hectares.

If you want to impress the guests or just enjoy a glass of good wine then this is a great choice. It is smooth, mellow and very delicious, and will have you going back for a sly wee top up time after time !!

Beatifully flavoured and smooth to the taste. A typical Fleurie, light, flavoursome and easy to drink any time not only with food. Good value, and can be bought in confidence to serve to guests.

We were introduced to this wine by friends. It is a nice and easy wine to accompany any meal and possesses a smooth soft finish with a host of fruit flavours. We buy all our wine through Tesco and have found their selections and service first class. Keep up the good work.

This wine was ideal for Christmas and family enjoyment. Not too heavy so as to spoil any of the food available but tasty with a delicate fruitiness. This is my favourite of the Beaujolais wines and has also become the family's favourite too. At the price unbeatable!

I purchased 6 bottles using the 50% discount and was so pleasantly surprised I bought another 6! This wine is medium bodied but with plenty of fruit and a soft palate. Very easy drinker that works well on it's own or with many foods (perfect with roast chicken...). For £6 a bottle this is one worth stocking up on.

Of all the many wines we have had from Tesco this was truly disappointing, so we even took the remainder of the case back. It showed absolutely none of the characteristics in the tasting notes. It did not show any Gamay character and was not like any Fleurie we have ever drunk. This was made worse by the fact it was a Tesco Finest which are generally reliable

My favourite cru beaujolias at a most reasonable price compared to other outlets. Equally easy to drink on its own or to accompany poutry and white meat dishes.

The Gamay grape isn't to everyone's taste, but you really shouldn't miss out on the delicate contents of this bottle! They have all the beautiful aromas of brambles and berries - ideal for drinking on its own before a roaring fire on a snowy Christmas Eve.

This wine needs to breathe for a while. The wine then becomes much smoother.

I have found some Fleuries to be inconsistent in terms of quality and taste. Not this one though....it ticked all the boxes, typical easy drinking style, but with all the bouquet and flavour one requires.....very good value.

I have drunk Fleurie many times and have enoyed it so much it must be in my top ten and when I saw this was half price I had to buy some. But you get what you pay for and this Fleurie is light and lacking the body of others I have enjoyed.

Whilst, perhaps, not being the greatest ever 'Fleurie', this wine is a winner and great value for money. It is light and fruity on the palate and goes with most of the dishes that are served up on our table. I love it and it remains my favourite wine.

Fleurie is a classy label, and this wine is not the best Fleurie I've ever drunk, but it must be the most competitive priced Fleurie I've bought. It has the Fleurie trademarks of being light, smooth and full of flavour, but we found it was better drunk on it own or with lightly flavoured food - it got a bit lost with curry and other spiced food.

This Fluerie is an excellent wine. I love the French ones as the taste is so smooth and easy to drink with or without food. Although this goes well with any meat or cheese dishes. Bought a case for Christmas but already half through them . C'est la vie !

I bought this when priced cheap in advance of our wedding. Fingers crossed, we hoped to get what's expected from a Fleurie without expecting it to being mind-blowing,... Fortunately it does exactly what it's supposed to. It's bright and fruity with an appealing nose and a beautiful light Strawberry red colour in the glass. This is a light wine by style and is a good example for the price point - Great for an outside function on a hot summers day.

I found this wine to be just a little too sweet for my taste so was a tad disappointed. However I think it will make a nice offering to party guests whose preferences are not quite as dry as mine. A useful wine to have on the rack to accompany nibbles and light meals.

I'm always on the look out for a deal on Fleurie but very rarely find one. at its best it's a beautifully blended wine and once again the Tesco finest range has come up with the goods. A lovely jammy wine with very smooth with a nice finish and an excellent colour.
