I scored 12 bottles ofthis when it wason sale...I think like 50% off... Not a huge fan of Shiraz Grenache usually, but this one packs a LOAD of flavour, and leaves you with that feeling of having really enjoyed a bottle of wine

I'm baffled by the other reviews - am I drinking the same wine?! We've bought dozens of cases of wine from Tesco over the years and this is the first time I've ever actually rang them to point out the poor quality of a case of wine (excellent customer service by the way). Okay, so its cheap, but it's not pleasant. I found it thin, lacking body and depth with a throat-drying, somewhat jagged edge. Trying a glass the following day didn't improve matters. I've tried the Rawnsley Shiraz before and liked it well enough, but cannot recommend this, even at a bargain price. At this end of the price scale, Chile and Portugal have much better offerings.

I bought a bottle of this as it was on offer, I normally stick to a single grape wine. When I tasted this, I wish I had bought two cases. It is so vevety smooth, with lots of depth. I have written down the name of it so I can look out for it when it is on offer, as this wine is excellent.

This is a really different mixture of grape types/vintages, and is very pleasant without being too comples. Will be having more of it if its still available at reasonable price! :-)

I'm on my 3rd case of this wine - what a fantastic find! It's hard to describe but here goes. It is a serious wine. Most 'soft' reds are just too bland and leave you feeling as if you've had a teenagers wine - something called 'wine' but actually something for people who don't like wine. Most 'big full bodied' wines make your head burst or your throat burn or both. This wine does neither. It feels like a wine for people who actually like red wine, flavoursome but not explosive, silky but not smooth. You can drink it fast or slow (I may make a bottle last 3 days) but every time you sip it you think 'this wine is lovely'.

We were looking for a suitable wine to go with a wedding breakfast and chose the above wine from a selection of 8 Shirazes altogether. We found the wine generally very pleasing and its rounded and rich flavour went well with the main course - duck with plum sauce

Experimented with this SE Australian Red on Offer & pleased I did- Have had unsolicited & positive feedback from friends who shared & with more discerning palates than ; they are ordering in their own right Seen by us all as a mid point between the robustness of some Cab Savs & the ultra softness of some Merlots. Well done Rawnsley Estate!!
