Background
History
The winery of Pagos del Rey was constructed in 2002, the same year as its first harvest. Mixing modern facilities with the tranquil setting of a hilltop location in the heart of the region, the winery was developed by Felix Solis to continue to enhance their range of Spanish wines.

Ribera del Duero is situated to the North of Spain, on a flat, rocky plateau and has a rich heritage of wine making history. Red wines are made almost entirely from the Tempranillo grape, known locally as Tinta del Pais. This grape thrives in the harsh conditions of the region, which has climate extremes from cold, frost ridden winters to very hot summers. Wines tend to be rich, full bodied and fruity and are often viewed as a good value alternative to Rioja.
