An excellent easy drinking French wine. The tasting notes are an accurate description, and for those of us who prefer French wines, from the West and Southern areas, the blending makes this ideal. Good value for that evening glass, and also to accompany a meal. Similar to another favourite from Tesco Cotes de Catalanes

A lovely, not too heavy, wine to drink with food and really nice without food. This is a family favorite. We get quite cross if Tesco runs out of it and we have to try something else!! It slides down beautifully and I would recommend buying more than one bottle at a time - Nothing worse than running out !!! :)

Tesco Cuvee Prestige Red Wine

Have been enjoying this wine for over 10 years. It is a delightful red wine and would be difficult to replace. My only regret your Miami rounabout branch in Chelmsford is frequently out of stock.

This wine is really good and I thought it cost a lot more than it actually does. Great value for money.

I had this wine a few years ago but then forgot about it. When I saw it on Tescos website I had to get some and what a bonus, it was on offer. It's a lovely fruity wine that isn't heavy so can be drunk at any time. My son in law tried it and immediately purchased a case. Will need some more pretty quickly as 3 cases are gone in a short space of time.

We have enjoyed both these wines for a very long time now, we drink them with meat, fish or poultry, or on their own if you just feel like a glass of wine!! The price is good too, even at 4.99, but we take advantage of the wine offers and buy them by the crate once in a while !!

This is smooth fruity wine that goes with savoury or my particular favourite, chocolate. I drink this all the time in favour of more expensive wines as I know my limits. It's a kind wine that never leaves me with any regrets the following day.

An alright cuvée......

By Boroimbiber
01 December 2012

I'd usually expect something a bit more hearty from the Languadoc, with these particular varietals. I reviewed the Piccini Memoro here recently that is another none-vintage blend of grapes. I know what I'd go for every time even at the full price of the Italian, just mentioned, being uniquely characterful. This cuvée is alright, inoffensive, soft, light and has its place in the market even at its regular asking price and becomes a bit of a steal for its true fans when reduced to just over £3 a bottle. But it's not gonna set the wine drinking world alight!

We came across this wine several years ago and go back to it time and time again. It goes with everything from a lazy summer's afternoon drinking in the garden to imbibing with guests at a dinner party. It sits equally well with fish dishes, meat dishes and savoury nibbles. We haven't come across anybody who has tried it who doesn't enjoy drinking it.
