A fresh and full-bodied Viognier bursting with apricot and red apple flavours with a crisp, creamy finish - A great accompaniment to fish, white meats and lightly spiced Asian food.

This wine is ideal for drinking now but can be kept for up to 2 years
The story behind one of Chile’s most famous wines began more than 120 years ago. Don Melchor, founder of Concha y Toro, stored batches of his best wines in an underground cellar. When he noticed that bottles had been stolen, he spread a rumour amongst the locals that a devil lived in his cellar. Hence the name of Casillero del Diablo, the devil’s cellar. Since 2008, Diablo wines have received more than 80 awards from internationally recognised competitions, including 8 Gold medals and 18 Silver medals.
Marcelo Papa
Crafted using grapes from Chile’s coastal Casablanca Valley. This cooler climate brings out the best qualities as the grapes ripen later, allowing the intense fruit flavours to shine through. www.chileanlegend.com

Another stunner from Casillero del Diablo, but I take issue with the word crisp in the description. There's nothing crisp about this rich mouth-filing wine that reminds me of an Alsace Gerwurtztraminer.

I am usually a fan of CdD wines but this one literally gave us an unexpected ending. First impressions were good but then came an unpleasant acrid aftertaste. Opened a second bottle but the same result. Thankfully Tesco were happy to refund for te opened and unopened bottles.

This is a reasonable viognier but doesnt have the smoothness of the more expensive ones. For me a tad sharp but fairly pleasant with a fruity flavour and can stand on its own. Would buy again.
