Welcome to Tesco Wine by the case.
We hope you enjoy your visit.
For us Fine Wine is not just the famous names and regions – First Growths from Bordeaux, Grand Cru Burgundy or stellar Cabernet Sauvignons from the Napa Valley. It's about the quality of the grapes, the time and care taken by the winemaker, and, most importantly, the actual taste of the wine in the glass. Sensational aromas, delicious flavours, and unsurpassed drinking pleasure, are what we seek. But whether a wine is an established classic of impeccable provenance or from a less fashionable region, made with unusual grape varieties, all our Fine Wines deliver exceptional value for money

With regions like Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Champagne, not to mention the Rhone and the Loire, France is still regarded as the greatest Fine Wine producing country in the world. Italy has been producing world class wine in Tuscany and the Piedmont for decades and the spread of modern wine-making techniques is leading to the production of top quality wines all across this beautiful country.

California has been on the Fine Wine map since the 1960s, but it's only in the last couple of decades that the Southern Hemisphere countries have been regarded as producers of serious wine, which reflects the speed of development. For example the first vines were only planted in New Zealand's Marlborough region in 1973 – now many regard' their Sauvignon Blancs as the best in the world.
