Viña Maipo was founded during the middle of the last century in the heart of the Maipo Valley, internationally known for its ideal conditions for the production of top quality wines.

This wine was produced in our vineyards located in the Chilean Valle Central, where they enjoy an exceptional soil and climate, with high temperature variations between night and dry. This crisp Sauvignon Blanc has varietal aromas of gooseberries, minerals and delicate citrus fruits. It is a fresh and balanced wine.

Hand picked during March from grapes grown in alluvial soil with good permeability in a medditeranean climate.

History:

Viña Maipo is a prestigious Chilean wine producer with a rich history and excellent growth performance since 1948. Today Maipo winery exports to over 70 countries and its efforts are focused on developing and strengthening its premium product portfolio.

Regional Information:

The Central Valley of Chile (Valle Central) spans the O'Higgins Region and Maule Region Administrative Regions and the Administrative Metropolitan Region, and is the main growing zone for Chilean wine and coincides with the historical core of the Chilean Central Valley. This is Chile's most productive and internationally known wine region, due in large part to its close proximately to the country's capital Santiago. It is located directly across the Andes' from one of Argentina's wine regions: Mendoza Province. Within the Central Valley there are four wine growing regions sub regions: the Maipo Valley, the Rapel Valley, the Curicó Valley and the Maule Valley.
