Thought you knew Couscous?
Giant Couscous is much yummier. It has been toasted in a flame oven, so when you cook it, it has a fantastic roasted flavour and a unique satisfying texture. There is nothing quite like it, and this wholewheat version cooks in under 20 minutes.
One ingredient makes all the difference.

Hob (From Ambient): To make the best Giant Couscous: Gently fry 100g of Couscous for 2-3 minutes in a little olive oil. When golden brown, add 200ml of cold water to the pan and stir continuously until all of the water has been absorbed. Add more water as necessary until the Couscous is soft throughout. This should take approximately 16 minutes. Serve straight away.
Or for a quicker method, empty the Couscous into a pan of boiling stock. Boil for 6-8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain using a sieve and serve. This method is great for using in salads or when you are short of time.
Preparation and Usage:
Ideas to keep...

Boil with fresh thyme and slices of lemon and serve with warm baked salmon and baby spinach.
Add half a spoonful of both cumin and paprika, then cook as suggested. Serve the Couscous with Meatballs and a spicy tomato sauce.
