Product information

French Pays d'Oc Malbec IGP. Produce of France.

Rich aromas of plum, bramble and wafts of wild herbs. A rich mouthfeel with dark fruit flavours are followed by a smooth plummy finish. Malbec grapes, grown in the idyllic vineyards of the Languedoc in the South of France, are selected by winemaker Thierry Boudinaud before carely winemaking to encapsulate the vibrant red berry flavours of this classic French grape variety. A great match for thick steaks seared on the barbecue, or in colder weather oven roast rib of beef

Vinification Details:

The grapes were de-stemmed and crushed, followed by a cold maceration for 48 hours and then fermentation in stainless steel vats at 25°c. Natural malolactic fermentation is followed by racking and the wine is then left to stand on thin lees for additional flavours. 15% of the wine is aged in 2 & 3 year old oak barrels for 6 months.

Thierry Boudinaud is a winegrower and talented winemaker based in the South of France. His local reputation and contacts give him access to some of the most exciting wines produced in the Languedoc. His familiarity with the people, vineyards and climate coupled with a wealth of winemaking experience all over the world means that he can create bespoke wines.
