Vinification Details:

The grapes are separated from the stalks, crushed, transferred to stainless steel tanks for 6-8 days to extract colour and flavours and for the fermentation to take place at a controlled temperature (23-25°C). Following the fermentation the wine is pressed, stored in stainless steel tanks then treated, decanted, filtered and refrigerated in order to prevent the tartaric precipitation. This process takes a minimum of 2 months.

Located in the Veneto region 30 km north-east of Venice, Botter was founded in 1928 by Carlo Botter. The company sources quality grapes from a network of small local growers. Over 80 years on, the business is still family ran, so they can give each wine they produce care, attention and all the winemaking knowledge that has been passed down from one generation to the next.

Regional Information:

Puglia spans Italy's long stiletto 'heel' and rivals Sicily as Italy's largest producing region. The area benefits from long sunny days producing very ripe grapes with great fruit concentration.
