The grapes for Reserve des Tugets Madiran were picked by hand. This protects the grapes from damage and gives fruitier wines. The grapes were then kept on their skins for depth of colour and aroma before 10% of the blend was aged in oak
In 1979, some determined winegrowers, assisted by André Dubosc, embarked on the challenge of giving back the noble heritage to the wines of their region. Together, they founded Plaimont.
The Plaimont philosophy is a respect for the age-old traditions. Aware of the necessity to preserve their land & heritage for future generations they use environmentally friendly methods. Situated in the South West, on the borders of Gascony & Béarn, the Madiran vinyard is at the crossroads of 3 department: Pyrènées Altantiques, Hautes Pyrénées & Gers. Highlighted in the press for its healthy character, is now well known for being the expression of a true terrior, very much preserved & still authentic
