Description

Chenin Blanc - White Australian Wine

The Chenin Blanc grape variety hails from the lush Loire Valley of France. This wine is full of refreshment, with its full fresh flavours of apple and melon. Balanced with a zesty lime finish, explore this wine with fresh summer salads or barbequed seafood.

John Graham Brown inherited a natural curiosity to explore, through the planting of new vineyards, dealing with diverse climates and the development of a research winery, called the Kindergarten. His passion for wine, led the way with innovative wine styles and grape varieties from across the globe.

Vinification Details:

The fruit was harvested in the cooler night temperatures from mid February to mid March. To retain the varietal fruit characters, the wine received minimal handling and underwent a cold fermentation. Picked at night by machine, drained and pressed away from skins, 24hr settling, fermented cool 12 to 14 degrees. In stainless steel, ferment stopped by chilling at 18.2g/l rs. Sterile filtered at bottling.

History:

Founded in 1889 by John Francis Brown, it was under the guidance of his son, John Charles Brown, that Brown Brothers established its reputation as a producer willing to experiment with innovative grape varieties. This experimentation and sense of adventure carries across the whole business and can be seen at our cellar doors from Milawa to Tasmania.

Regional Information:

Mystic Park Vineyard is located in the sun-drenched Murray Valley, halfway between Kerang and Swan Hill. It is the Brown Brother's warmest growing site that has become crucial in the development of wine styles unique to Brown Brothers.
