You have various statutory rights that apply to the purchase of electrical equipment. You have the right to request a repair or replacement if the electrical goods, when sold, were not of satisfactory quality or fit for their purpose. After the first six months of purchase, you will have to prove that the goods had a fault when they were sold to you. This Drops & Spills Protection goes beyond those rights by giving you more rights. Nothing in this plan will reduce or affect your statutory rights; for further information about your statutory rights contact your local authority Trading Standards Department or Citizens Advice Bureau.
