New Zealand has a long and exceptional history of grape growing, and is now renowned world-wide for its delicious, fruit-driven Sauvignon Blanc. The long ripening period allows for not only well-defined fruit characters but the retention of refreshing acidity.
Sacred Hills
The 2012 growing season was sunny, but cooler than usual, with regular rainfall in most of New Zealand’s East Coast. The temperatures during summer were below long term average temperature, and harvest in early April was compressed.

This wine is advertised as having a ABV of 13% my first case showed a ABV of 12% and the second case showed ABV OF 11.5% I have found on a couple of occasions that the ABV on Tesco's website to be different than on the bottle

When on offer, this is ideal for daily coiffing. Refreshing, clean and fruity. Though demand must have been high because I was short delivered by two dozen bottles!

Good all rounder, very easy to drink. Not as heavy bodied as other Sauvignon Blancs. Nice pleasant light fruity taste. If you can get under £5 - then excellent value for a everyday wine.

This wine is real value! for money. The nose, taste and after-taste are really intense. Almost as though it was made from gooseberries rather that grape. In fact the the first sip comes as something of a surprise, it is so full of fruit, by the second sip I loved it. Yes, I would buy it again and yes, I would recommend it to friends.

This NZ Sauvignon Blanc is light and crisp with hints of Sherbert. Although it is bottled in the UK it has still retained it's New Zealand credentials and Sauvignon Blanc traits. It is easy on the palate and pleasant to drink but will not win any prizes.

I frequently have 8 or 9 family here for lunch on a Sunday, and without exception they enjoy this light and refreshing white wine, and when on offer it gives me the opportunity to stock up. It is universally popular, well priced - can't fault it!

Whoever is eating with us, I never hesitate to offer Fern Bay as an accompaniment to most meals, hot or cold. I have every faith in its quality. My wife drinks it even more ofteen than I do. There may be more exciting wines, but they will cost much more. This one is so reasonably priced and offers such good value for money.

This sauvignon blanc is not bad at all, lacks depth, but refreshing citrus flavours make it a decent enough buy at around £5-6.

I just love N. Zealand Sauvignon and this is a very good example. We have chosen it many times and it has never disappointed.
