This is Campo Viejo's mature take on Rioja, with the wine having been aged for a year and a half in oak barrels and then for the same amount of time again in the bottle before being released.
With its smoky black fruits and cinnamon spice, this is a lesson in how to age gracefully.
Delicious with crispy duck or roast lamb.

Most of our vineyards consists of old vines, twenty-five years old, and mainly of the Tempranillo variety. The vines are arranged in plots, cultivated in line with previously-determined criteria so that each grape is destined for a particular type of wine. In the tied vineyards, the vine growth cycle is carefully monitores and a series of growing guidelines are laid down for each parcel.
