We have bought quite a few cases of Codornu Vintage over the years and never been disappointed. It easily rivals Champagne that costs 3-4x the price - and as it is often available on offer, it is a bargain that is just too good to miss. Two more cases on the way :-)

This review is for the 2010 vintage
Cordoniu is proof that you're paying a massive premium just for the word "Champagne". The house founder brought the Champagne method to Spain from France and their experience shows. This particular bottle isn't their best but still great value. Look for "Ana La Cordoniu" and snap it up if you find it for a fabulous Cava that rivals all but the upper level Champagnes.
A Little Thin, but drinkable

This review is for the 2010 vintage
Compared to the previously available Codornu 1551 (2009) this was a little thin in flavour. Having said that, it was quite pleasant, with a fresh fruity flavour at first sip, but the taste ran out very quickly, so actually not a lot of finish. OK at the right price, but needs to be well chilled to get the best out of it.

When on offer as it often is, this Vintage Cava is excellent value offering the taste of higher-end variants at a low-end price. Very fruity, light and refined, thoroughly enjoyable. Easy to recommended!

Since discovering Cordon Niu on holiday in Spain in the '60's it has always been a favourite. We buy it whenever it is a good price as we use it a lot as an aperitif at parties, also a a base for delicious Champagne Cocktails.However the price is creeping up which is bad news.We used it for our daughter's wedding and a lot of our friends buy it as well.

It has sparkle which it maintains even after opening, pleasant fruity taste and makes a great aperitif. We have bought it several times before and no doubt will do so again.

We bought 25 bottles of the wine for our Prostate Cancer UK function, We had them as table centre pieces and the gave them to the person on each table whose birthday was next. Everyone who I spoke to enjoyed it.
