Synopsis

"Chas and Dave are amazing musicians – they could play the pants off a lot of people.” – Jools Holland “Chas & Dave - There ain't no more pleasing sound.” – The Guardian, March 2013 “They are simply terrific fun. Chas is the owner of a surprisingly rock ‘n’ roll voice and is a fearsome pianist. Dave is easily the match of (say) John McVie for musicianship, but wouldn’t dream of being showy enough to prove it.” – The Independent on Sunday, May 2013 Since starting out in the early sixties as session musicians for the likes of Jerry Lee-Lewis and Gene Vincent, Chas and Dave have maintained their own inimitable musical journey that has continued to flourish regardless of the numerous trends that have come and gone along the way. The duo have achieved three million album and single sales, landed six Top 20 hits, opened for Led Zeppelin and continue to play approximately 80 theatre-sized venues all over the country, every year. Now Chas and Dave will mark their 50th year in music together with the October 28th release of a brand new studio album, which will be released under a new deal with Warner Music Entertainment. It represents their first new studio album for a generation – 27 years to be precise! The album was recorded at the end of June in Studio 2, Abbey Road – “The Beatles Room” – with Grammy-winning bluesman Joe Henry (Solomon Burke, Allen Toussaint, Elvis Costello & Bonnie Raitt) on production duties.
