Our distribution facility, based in Burton-upon-Trent, carries 1,000’s of product lines to ensure our customers have a great choice of both instruments and accessories. Good stocks also ensure that we are able to supply you with specialist products in super fast time. At Normans we understand that safe delivery of your goods is a major factor in your purchasing decision. We believe our customers should know exactly what will happen to their order from the moment they complete checkout.
We have a very simple formula for calculating delivery charges which is based on the total value of your order:
* Orders over £50.00 for the UK Mainland are shipped FREE of charge and can be delivered either to your preferred address or using the Tesco Click & Collect service.
* Orders of £50.00 or below for the UK Mainland are charged at just £1.99 for direct delivery or £4.00 for Click & Collect.
* Non UK Mainland orders may incur additional postage costs up to £29.99 which are calculated at the checkout.
* All delivery charges are clearly stated at checkout prior to completion of your order.
We aim to ship your order within 24 hours of receipt, although during very busy 'peak' periods processing may take slightly longer. Please note that orders placed over the weekend are processed the following Monday.
We use a variety of Standard shipping methods depending on the size/value of your order.
Very small/low value parcels are sent via Royal Mail, we use their Second Class service so most arrive 2-3 days after our despatch confirmation.
Royal Mail Tracked
Medium sized parcels will be shipped using Royal Mail Tracked (48 Hour) Service. You will receive your tracking information in an email directly from Royal Mail. No signature is required and if you are unavailable to receive delivery the parcel will be left at your local Post Office for collection.
Larger/Higher value consignments will be despatched via DPD, who will email/SMS you directly to confirm the delivery date (usually the Next Working Day after your goods leave us). They will also provide an estimated 1 hour delivery slot so that you don't need to wait in all day. Please note that DPD deliveries do require a signature so if the delivery date/time is not suitable you can respond to them directly and make alternative arrangements. If you are not at the premises when delivery is attempted, the driver will leave a card with details of how to arrange redelivery.
Arrow XL (Two man delivery service)
Larger and heavier items such as Digital Pianos are delivered via a specialist two man service. Following your order Arrow XL will contact you to arrange a convenient date and time. From ordering, delivery will usually take place within 5 days (UK Mainland).Click & Collect
We also offer Click and Collect on selected products giving you the added convenience of being able to collect our products from your local Tesco store.
Goods Received but No Longer Required
Normans offers a 14 day return period for any items ordered that are no longer required/have been ordered in error. You must notify us via email to firstname.lastname@example.org of your intention to return within 14 days from receipt of your goods (not the purchase date). The goods must be in an as new condition and returned, at your cost, with the original packaging. We advise sending via a tracked secure carrier to ensure you have proof that your parcel has reached us safely. The must be returned to the address given in our contact section below.
Please note: We will not be responsible for any damage incurred to the goods on their way back to us, please ensure the goods are packaged appropriately. A stocking in fee may be applied when goods are not returned back to us in their original, unused condition.
Goods Damaged in Transit
All goods must be inspected on receipt and any damage reported to us within 48 hours. Please contact our Customer Support Team on email@example.com or Freephone 08000 282415 to report any damage and they will advise what action is required. We will normally arrange collection of the damaged items so please include your original Tesco Direct order receipt within your return parcel. Any goods that are reported transit damaged after the initial 48 hours will need to be returned back to us for assessment before a replacement is offered.
Faulty Goods/Claims Under Warranty
If you believe your instrument to have a fault/manufacturer defect, please report the issue to our support team on firstname.lastname@example.org or Freephone 08000 282415. Provide as much detail as possible to help them ascertain the best solution; they will then advise you on the next step. This may vary depending on a number of factors including value/size/age of faulty product. Rest assured that our team will endeavour to resolve your issue with the least possible inconvenience.
