The vineyard of Las Hijuelas is located in the region of Peralillo, in the western centre of the Colchagua Valley. With plenty of sunlight and heat during the day, this region offers perfect conditions to produce a high quality wine that delivers notes of black fruits, mature and silky tannins that perfectly represent the typicity of a great Carmenere.
This area is characterized by a large thermal amplitude, with very warm days and cool nights, and also by windy afternoons that help decreasing the average temperature of this particular area. It is a field defined by its knolls and a white clay soil of volcanic origin called Pumacita.
