Orange braised red cabbage

Orange braised red cabbage

What to do

  • Heat a large wide pan and add the cumin seeds, allowing the flavour to release, before adding the oil and onion. Continue to cook for a few minutes until the onion is softened.
  • Add the cabbage and combine well. Continue to cook for about 5 minutes.
  • Add the raisins, orange juice, vinegar, and pepper.
  • Cover with a tight-fitting lid and simmer gently for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally until the cabbage is cooked but still retains a slight bite.
