Description

Blackout is a revolutionary 3-in-1 Rust Converter, Primer and Paint designed to restore, protect and transform a huge range of surfaces. Suitable for steel, wood, aluminium, plastics, copper, carbon fibre, ceramics, stone, brick, glass and more, Blackout chemically reacts with rust to convert it into a stable protective layer, helping to prevent further corrosion and halt the progression of rust. The active ingredients transform iron oxide into a stable compound, creating a strong foundation that also acts as a primer, allowing the surface to be overpainted if desired. Blackout is touch dry in as little as 30 minutes and fully cures in approximately 24 hours, providing a durable, flexible finish that resists cracking, flaking and peeling. Easy to apply by brush or roller, Blackout is ideal for automotive restoration, garden furniture, fences, railings, machinery, woodwork, DIY projects, crafts and much more. It can withstand temperatures from -40°C to +240°C and remains permanently flexible for long-lasting protection. Before application, ensure the surface is clean, structurally sound and properly prepared. Some materials, such as pressure-treated timber or oil-rich plastics, may require sanding to create a keyed surface and improve adhesion. We always recommend carrying out a small test patch first and allowing it to fully cure before treating larger areas. Perfect for restoring garden furniture, vehicle parts, BBQs, chimineas, hanging basket brackets, weathered planters, tools, downpipes, guttering, locks, hinges, caravans, motorhomes, decking and countless other projects, Blackout provides long-term protection and a professional finish in one simple application.
