I love dark bitter chocolate so this is now my favourite dessert! The sprinkling of cocoa covers a dark chocolate caramel layer with a really creamy layer underneath giving a lovely contrast over a sponge base. I thought I could detect a hint of coconut but when I read the ingredients which were a bit surprising ( beef gelatin!), there was only coconut oil mentioned . The glass espresso cups are a bonus. Yummy
I was really looking forward to these but nothing sits right in this pudding, the texture isn’t pleasant . A letdown would be an understatement as they really were not nice. The mousse is far too runny so it feels like you’re eating nothing. The flavour lacks any sweetness making it acrid & bitter as the coffee flavour needs some sweetness. Even with the caramel sauce there is no flavour. The biscuit on the bottom is wet, soggy & merges with the pudding, so much so, that you barely notice you’ve eaten it. The whole thing was bland, bitter & not enjoyable. All I can say is thank god for the espresso cup containers because at least I got something good out of the experience.
