A tasty, convincing substitute
I haven't eaten lamb for a few years but this definitely had the taste & feel if it. We fry it & have it on a roast dinner, it's delicious with gravy & mint sauce.
Amazing! Lovely fried until golden and then serve
Amazing! Lovely fried until golden and then served with a sauce - best range we have tried!
Was like eating rolled up newspaper
It was like eating rolled up kitchen paper / blue roll. or rolled up newspaper, flavour was ok ish but no no no to the texture, it was SOO dry.
Not perfect but nonetheless exceeded expectations.
If you cook the product according to the instructions on the back of the packet (i.e. caramelise it in the pan with some oil before adding in a bit of water), the texture of the product is lovely and quite convincing, quite unlike a lot of other meat substitutes which are chewy and horrible. The flavour is 75% of the way there, definitely lamb-like and really nice, but I prefer this to actual lamb on the basis that it isn't gristly at all, and the price per kg is very reasonable compared to actual lamb when considering that there is no bone or fat. Overall, very good!
I’ve tried a lot of different meat alternatives and these are amazing. Can’t recommend enough
Off the mark
I really miss eating lamb so jumped at the chance to buy these when I saw them. Whipped us a stew in the slow cooker but unfortunately it wasn’t a success. The texture wasn’t right and had quite a synthetic taste. Not for us I’m afraid
Real texture of lamb
Wow! Served this to a friend tonight and we were both blown away. You really wouldn't know it wasn't the real thing.
