Product Description

  • Chocolate sponge roll filled with chocolate flavoured buttercream, covered in milk chocolate and finished with Belgian milk chocolate ganache and a sugar dusting.
  • Hand rolled and decorated. This wonderfully soft chocolate sponge, rolled with buttercream and generously covered with rich milk chocolate. Hand finished with a creamy Belgian chocolate ganache.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place and once opened in an airtight container.

Preparation and Usage

  • Remove outer packaging before cutting.

    Place cake still on its board on a firm surface.

    Hold the cake and with a long clean serrated sharp knife, cut the cake into slices using a sawing action.

    It is important to keep the knife clean between slices.

This was pretty awful. When cut, the icing fell aw

This was pretty awful. When cut, the icing fell away from the sponge in big lumps so we ended up with lots of bits on a plate rather than a nice slice. It was also dense and dry and the butter cream could have done with being vanilla to counteract the cloying chocolate sponge. Very surprised this is considered to be in Finest range.

Disappointing.

Disappointed with the taste. Firm texture of cake and tainted with cardboard taste. Certainly won't be buying again next Christmas.

This was so dissappointing it was dry. The best before date was 26/12/2021. We cut into the log for the first time on 25/12/21. It was really dry. It was very poor.

This is too sweet. 29% of this is sugar!

This tasted too sweet and there is a reason 29% of this is sugar! Would you have a cup of tea that was 29% sugar? Belgian Milk Chocolate is only 3%, Milk Chocolate Enrobing is 11%. The Box it comes in looks nice is the only positive thing I can say.

Very disappointed. Huge box very small product, dry and definitely not value for money. Bought 3 for price of 2 not very good at all.

its very nicely made but immensely rich. For the first time I've been happy it is out of stock as if it was available, I'd buy it and regret it (again). Its very nice but has a Chocolate swiss roll with rich buttercream filling. Then the whole thing covered with a layer of Chocolate and on top of that its slathered with more Chocolate buttercream. It all adds up to too much of a good thing. it seems to be designed for large gatherings where each person gets s mall piece of the log. Eating full slices makes it so sickly that it becomes almost inedible, and eating small amounts means it goes stale before being completely eaten. This product is highly recommended if bought under the right circumstances. Otherwise leave well alone

Delicious cake, we buy at least 2 every year. The size is smaller than previous years. My family are fussy eaters but recommend this product.

Terrible quality. Crumbled as it was being cut. Tasted dry and stale although it was eaten well within use by. Whole lot went in the bin
