This is what pink tastes like
Excellent cupcakes! Lovely sweet, pink and white swirly icing, and a plain, neutral flavour sponge as base. Looks good, and a great portion size. The only gripe I have is the tray they're packed in. The holes are quite deep, which makes the cupcakes rather tricky to remove from the tray without touching the icing, and there's not too much space between the cupcakes either, so there's another risk of accidentally touching the neighbouring cupcake. Both of these features make this product not ideal for sharing. Never had this problem with any Tesco cupcakes before. Can't understand the other negative review. It's supposed to be an unhealthy, super-sweet treat to tickle the senses. With less sugar, they would be less tasty. Depends on how much sugar you like and how much you find "sweet". To me, these cupcakes are perfect! If you want a healthier treat, I would suggest eating a banana.
All icing, 50% sugar, what happened to the cake?
Looked nice but have you tried eating it? It is more icing by weight than cake and over 50% sugar. A whole Childs daily allowance in one cupcake. Double the cake and half the icing would still be sweet, could still look as nice and would at least be edible. Can't believe anyone would think this was a good product idea. Even my children laughed at it and didn't finish one.
