Squashed berries
Too many squashed berries. Poor value.
Sadly these were not up to your usual standard.
I usually trust Tesco to deliver good quality fruit and vegetables, sadly very much let down by my latest delivery of blueberries. I had to throw half of them away as they were squashed and going rotten when I opened the carton just 2 days after receiving them.
This is the third week in a row that I have had to
This is the third week in a row that I have had to sort through the berries to throw out the soft, squishy ones. between at least a quarter to a third are over ripe. It is no use given "so many % extra" if they are rubbish. Didn't used to be like this.
Not fresh
When buying blueberries online you are never sure what you will get. This week the berries were so soft and pulpy and did not seem fresh at all. I think poor storage may have an impact.
variable
Some weeks very good, some weeks very poor, going soft in a couple of days
having previously purchased this item on every occ
having previously purchased this item on every occasion i was bitterly disappointed last time the expiry date was next day and the quality very poor
Happy
Usually very good firm berries.
Mouldy very quickly on a number of times
Every time I buy Tesco blueberries they are mouldy before the use by date. Jut not worth it unless you plan to eat them the same day!
Poor customer service..and short shelf life again!
Really disappointed with Tesco fresh produce dates! On Click & Collect, where you cannot actually see the dates, and are not made aware of them, they always seem to palm short shelf lives off! On telephoning to comment on this, I was informed no refund would be given as the dates were within their guidelines, which is 2 days, counting the day of delivery... so 1 day to eat them if, if they are poor quality which mine were! I checked this out on their web site, and there are no guidelines on this product at all!! Poor show Tesco for loyal customers. The assistants that deal with these issues should ask themselves if they would choose short shelf life produce in store, if they were wanting to keep them. I doubt it very much...
Best Before Dates
I am concerned about the sell-by date on some of Tesco's fruit and veg. Blueberries on this week's delivery only had 2 days best before date. If this could be extended in future I would be very grateful.
