Always acceptable, good value Portugese Red

4 stars

This Portuguese Red is consistent and a bargain at £5 bottle. I usually take a bottle to my brothers as I know he enjoys it. Remind him of their annual holiday , bike riding on empty roads and sardines on the beach!

Great easy drinking wine

I used to love this wine

1 stars

but the last lot I got was a big let-down. Watery, not much fruit, just plain wrong. Not like Douro at all. I see Tesco has changed supplier.Big mistake. I shan't be buying it again

Not so " Finest "

2 stars

I don't know what they've put in this example but it left me feeling distinctly thick-headed and furry the next day.

Not very good at all

1 stars

Having spent time in the Douro last year I was excited to try this wine -especially as it was supposed to be the better end of the market. What a disappointment . Very wishy-washy and really not worth the money. Even thinking of sending it back as it was so poor .

Very poor wine compared to last year

1 stars

Bought this last year and was great. This year it seems they must have dropped some chemicals in the wine to hold its shelf life.Back notes of bleach not nice at all.

Just okay

3 stars

An average red wine from Portugal which I will probably not order again.
