Always acceptable, good value Portugese Red
This Portuguese Red is consistent and a bargain at £5 bottle. I usually take a bottle to my brothers as I know he enjoys it. Remind him of their annual holiday , bike riding on empty roads and sardines on the beach!
Great easy drinking wine
Good easy drinking wine for a warm summers day would buy again
Ideal for a drink before a meal, good with light food and fruit and a real pleasure on a hot summer's day
A luxury wine at bargain price
The price of this wine does vary so only buy when on offer but is definitely a favourite
A very drinkable Red
This bottle / vintage is extremely god, easy drinking, highly recommended
I used to love this wine
but the last lot I got was a big let-down. Watery, not much fruit, just plain wrong. Not like Douro at all. I see Tesco has changed supplier.Big mistake. I shan't be buying it again
Not so " Finest "
I don't know what they've put in this example but it left me feeling distinctly thick-headed and furry the next day.
Not very good at all
Having spent time in the Douro last year I was excited to try this wine -especially as it was supposed to be the better end of the market. What a disappointment . Very wishy-washy and really not worth the money. Even thinking of sending it back as it was so poor .
Very poor wine compared to last year
Bought this last year and was great. This year it seems they must have dropped some chemicals in the wine to hold its shelf life.Back notes of bleach not nice at all.
An average red wine from Portugal which I will probably not order again.
