Bottle Needs Re-designing
The bottle isn’t great. I have to take the top off to get any mayo out. Please would you re-design Hellman’s, preferably in a more eco friendly way. Thank you.
Truly lighter than any other Mayo
Not sure what everyone is on about - this is much much lighter in calories than the Hellmanns Light Mayo. The info on this website isn’t right though - it’s 67Kcal per 100g NOT per serving (30g). The label on the bottle is correct - and can be easily compared against each other that this is indeed lighter than light (a lot too!). Guilt free and tastes great for me. Superb
good product but so thick it is difficult to get o
good product but so thick it is difficult to get out of the bottle
Too much vinegar and isnt even lighter than light!
Not only is it VERY vinegary but it literally has MORE calories per serving than the lighter ones!!! Like lower fat content alone does not mean better for you.
Healthy mayo thats tastes just as good
My friend is often sceptical and refuses to try lighter mayo (or coleslaw), thinking they are bound to taste worse. Don't make her mistake! This mayo tastes great, in spite of being lighter than light. Why pile on the pounds when you can eat this instead? Some have said that its difficult to get all the mayo out. There is a bit of an issue here, but frankly its never that easy to get some stuff out of bottles. The people who are complaining, and giving it one star for that reason are perhaps not thinking clearly. This is great mayo, and should be appropriately highly rated.
Foul. Use proper stuff of don't bother at all...
Weirdly thick, slimy, flavourless gack. Could quite easily be mistaken for non-drip white paint. Probably as well putting Dulux in your sandwich, in all fairness. I wouldn't have the lousy stuff in the house given the choice, but She Who Must Be Obeyed insists on having low-fat everything. I'm sticking to the full fat version, ta; if it takes 10 years off my life then at least that's 10 years fewer on the same planet as Lighter Than Light Children's Play Mayonnaise. Don't be like SWMBO. Buy the real thing.
Put it in a glass jar
Good taste but needs to be packaged in a glass bottle as doesn't come out of the plastic one.
Wasteful bottle design!
Product very good but the bottle design is horrendous, as so much remains in the bottle that I always have to open the bottle and attempt to scrape it out with a spoon handle!
If only you could get all of it out of the bottle!
Excellent product - if only you could get the last 10th out of the bottle!
Great taste, but please extract it safely...
OK, so as others have said, sometimes a little engineering or other method of accessing the last of the stuff from the bottle is needed. Better that than waste food though, and my (sensible) method of avoiding waste is to take the lid off and pour some hot water (not freshly boiled as that could result in a rather nasty scalding and a visit to A&E, not a good thing at the best of times).. Then replace the lid ans give the bottle a good shake, this will dilute the product to the point where it flows beautifully from the bottle and this means that I can add it to a veggie stock for making a casserole or stew, which provides a pleasant additional taste in the meal. Or just continue to suffer without ever considering the idea of finding your own way to get the product out of the near empty container. I also tried (let us call this the "crisis induced panic method") fitting a Schrader valve (various online cyclists' supply shops sell the type that can be fitted through a hole, then tightened up with a nut on the inside of the bottle, as used in bikes with tubeless tyres), reached with a small, deep socket and an extension bar of appropriate length to reach the bottom of the bottle, then pressurising the contents to somewhere between 4 and 7 psi with a bicycle pump NOT a garage airline, please do not apply too much pressure, simply add a very gentle stroke at a time with the pump until the product comes out on opening the lid, but not so much that the product forces its way out and the bottle then takes off like some form of weapon, this information is provided as a result of my own experiments around the problem and, without trying it, then I wouldn't be sure that the water method is easier, free and much better for those who have no access to tools.. And everyone else, but it was fun trying.. "Lockdown Psychosis" is what my therapist called this series of activities, the new pills are really tasty when washed down with warm, diluted Mayonnaise! ;-) Stay Safe, J xx
