- Suitable for home freezing. Freeze on day of purchase and use within 6 months. Defrost thoroughly and consume within 24 hours. This product may have been frozen and defrosted under controlled conditions.
Number Of Uses:
Cooking Instructions (General): Your haggis requires heating until piping hot. Defrost first if frozen. Consume within 24 hours of opening.
Oven cook (From Chilled): Remove printed packaging. Wrap the haggis in foil, place in an oven-proof dish with about 2cm of water and heat at 180°C (gas mark 4) for 75 minutes. Remove casing and clips before serving.
Microwave (From Chilled): (800W category E) Remove printed packaging, casing and clips. Cut into pieces and place in a microwave dish. Cover and heat on 'medium' for 9 minutes, stirring once during cooking and once before serving. Microwave ovens vary; adjust times accordingly.
Haggis and Cherry Tomato Spaghetti
454 Macsween Delicious Every Day Haggis
15 cherry tomatoes
4 tbsp olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Handful fresh basil leaves, to serve (optional)
Grated parmesan, to serve (optional)
(Optional extras to consider: capers, fresh chilli or chilli flakes)
1 Cook the haggis according to the instructions on the pack. Meanwhile boil the spaghetti in a large pan of salted water.
2 Heat the oil in a frying pan, slice the cherry tomatoes in half and fry for 3 minutes.
3 Drain the spaghetti and return to the pan. Pour in the tomatoes and olive oil and crumble in the hot haggis, toss everything together well. Season to taste.
4 Divide into 4 portions and sprinkle with parmesan, basil and any other accompaniments if desired.
