Xbox One was designed to be the centerpiece of every living room with modern hardware, the new Xbox One Wireless Controller, a 500GB hard drive, 3 an eight-core, x86 processor, wireless networking connectivity, HDMI®, three super-speed USB 3.0 ports, and a high-speed Blu-ray™ disc player.
This version of the Xbox One® console comes with a built-in 500GB hard drive and a Kinect for Xbox One® included too. The Kinect opens up a whole world of fun, whilst the spacious 500GB hard drive will save all your adventures. If you’re already a 360 gamer, all your hard-earned achievements will come across with you via your Xbox Live account. You’ll also find an HDMI cable, an AC power adaptor, a standard controller and a chat headset in the box.
There’s more to the Kinect than its in-game features: it allows you to voice-control the TV and your Xbox One®, produces HD video for Skype video calls and Twitch.tv broadcasts, automatically recognises you and signs into your profile when you turn on your console and accurately tracks your movements without needing any extra add-on equipment.
Your Kinect for Xbox One® comes with a digital copy of Dance Central Spotlight, a next-generation dance game utilising the power of the Kinect to control your character with your voice and body. Both you and a friend can play and compete. With over 50 add-on songs, all packed with routines, you’ll have hours of fun dancing along to your favourite tunes. Dance Central Spotlight has a ton of features waiting for you, too, whether you want to get fit, practise different dance routines or just have fun.
The Xbox One® with Kinect also features a powerhouse of apps and features, featuring One Guide as your one-stop destination for the best of TV. Netflix and Amazon video apps are also available for all your entertainment needs (subscription required). Whatever you want to watch, Microsoft has ensured it is easy to access, social and intuitive with Xbox One®. With the Kinect, you can use voice commands to navigate around as well, so you don’t need to find the TV remote; just say ‘Hello Xbox’ to begin. Broadcasting gameplay to Twitch.tv is equally simple: state ‘Xbox broadcast’ to start. If you want to check the sports scores during a game, say ‘Xbox NFL’ and the NFL app will launch for all your sporting needs.
If you upgrade to an Xbox One®, it does not mean all your old achievements on the Xbox 360® are left behind. Instead, your Gamerscore carries over with your Xbox Live account. With backwards compatibility for 360 games continually growing and over 100 games already rolled out, you can also continue to add to your Xbox 360® achievements. For digital games, you will be able to re-download them, and for the physical games you own, simply insert your Xbox 360® disc to play.
