The VTech BM1000’s baby unit operates on mains power while the parent unit uses rechargeable batteries for up to 14 hours of active monitoring before recharging (batteries and mains adaptor for parent unit included). There are 5 volume levels and volume off settings to suit your needs plus low battery and out of range sound alerts.
