Smartkidstore is part of the Baby and Child Group which is a Multi-Channel nursery retailer with in excess of 20 years experience within the Nursery Industry. Our team are dedicated to provide you with outstanding customer service and highly competitive prices on a comprehensive range of products. The Baby and Child Group has grown to be one of the largest independent nursery retailers in the country.

Our huge warehouse operation, coupled with our partnership with one of the UK's leading courier companies (Interlink) ensures a quick and efficient service, enabling us to provide a excellent customer experience.

Please be aware that charges and timings will vary for delivery to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isles of Scilly, Orkney, Shetland and other Scottish islands with deliveries taking up to 8 days for outlying areas. The actual delivery cost and timings will be displayed during checkout.

The majority of our items are shipped via our courier Interlink. However depending on the exact item we reserve the right to use other couriers and Royal Mail for smaller items. We will include details of who will be delivering your parcel when we confirm dispatch to you.

We operate from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, excluding Bank Holidays. For orders placed over a weekend or on a Bank Holiday we will dispatch this item on the next working day to reach you within the timeframes outlined above.

Delivery locations and exceptions

We ship to all areas of the UK. For outlying areas we will try to deliver to the timeframes above, but there may be some occasions when there might be a delay. In these circumstances we will contact you to let you know and keep you updated at all times.

Requirements to sign for delivery

ALL LARGER ITEMS MUST BE SIGNED FOR. We will not allow the courier to leave the item(s) in an unsecured location. Our deliveries will be made on Mondays to Fridays between 8:00 and 18.30. We realise that occasionally we may try to deliver an order and you (or the intended recipient) may not be available . Each time an attempt is made, our courier will leave a "We're holding an item of mail for you" card at the delivery address, confirming they have tried to deliver and providing further details. The order will be held at the delivery depot for up to 4 days following the second delivery attempt, after which time your items will be returned to our warehouse.

Missed delivery

If we try to deliver and you are not available our courier will leave a calling card to advise you about what to do next. All of our couriers will attempt a further two deliveries before the items are returned to us and you may be able to pick up your item from your local depot if this is more convenient. If you would like us to help rearrange your delivery, please let us know.

Returns & Cancellation Policy

Changed your mind?

That’s no problem. All of our Tesco Partners offer the same Tesco direct policy as a minimum, the full details of which can be found on our Returns Policy page.

We are happy to accept returns for all of our products.

Charges for returns

You can choose to either organise your own return, at your own cost and risk, or request a collection using our collection service. Our courier collects Monday-Friday between 8am and 6pm. At least 24 hours notice is required to organise the collection.

Our standard collection charge is £17 per box. However this may vary for certain parts of the country, these include the areas defined by our courier Interlink as Highlands, Ireland and Scottish Islands, please check with us if you have concerns re your area. Certain exceptions may apply to the larger furniture items collected from any area as due to the surcharge imposed by our couriers for heavier items. You will be informed of the returns charge applicable to you when requesting the collection. Please contact us for further details on the return charges for specific items. A non-refundable collection charge of up to £150 will be applied to furniture room sets due to surcharges imposed by the courier. These are marked as 'Room Set Additional Return Charges Apply' on the individual item listing. Please contact us for further details on the return charges for specific room sets.

Returns guidelines

Please let us have any tabs, labels and accessories, and please package it all securely. If you’re returning an item because you’ve changed your mind, there may be a deduction from your refund if it has been damaged, opened more than necessary to check it’s working, or used more than reasonably expected.

If you change your mind about an item, please return it with all original components and packaging. If you are unable to return the item in its original packaging, please ensure the item is securely packaged to avoid any damage.

Please can you ensure your order is boxed securely and tape an envelope to the outside of the box containing your invoice and reason for return. If you do not have your invoice please write your name, address, order number and reason for return. Please write the following address on the outside of the envelope: Smartkidstore (Returns Dept), Access Storage, 160 Bromley Road, Catford, SE6 2NZ. If you have requested the use of our collection service, then your box size must be within the dimensions below. If the box is outside these dimensions, we will incur a surcharge of £25 from our carrier which will be passed on to you. The size of each parcel must not exceed 3 metres length and girth (measured around its thickest part) combined and 1.5 metres for the greatest dimension: Calculation = Length (largest dimension) + (Width + Width + Height + Height) = 300cm or less . Is your purchase faulty or damaged?

We do our best to make sure everything works perfectly, but if it doesn’t, please contact us.  Within the first 30 days we will issue a refund or replacement item to you.  Outside of the first 30 days we will be able to advise on the options to repair, replace or refund your item.

Please contact us re any damaged or faulty item. We will be able to assist with various trouble shooting questions and advise you on the steps we will take to resolve your problem.
