About us

SkateHut was formed in 2007 by Mark Johansen-Berg following a family holiday to Florida with his wife and three sons. When his eldest son spotted a pair of Heelys in one of the theme parks he just had to have a pair but when they arrived back in the UK, Heelys were nowhere to be seen. They decided to do something about it…

Within a few months there were over a thousand pairs of Heelys in their house and from there, SkateHut was born!

We’ve grown a lot since then, and our product range has grown too. We now stock and sell skateboards, scooters, skates and so much more. With 20000 product line and counting, SkateHut shows no signs of stopping. With all of these products in stock we needed space to hold them all, which we now have with our three warehouses and two stores – one in Halesowen, the other in Adrenaline Alley, Corby.

We always listen to our customers and continue adding new brands and products every day. We have a great team of people in our warehouse, office and shop dedicated to helping you and making SkateHut your one stop shop for everything skate. There are plenty of plans for the future so watch this space!

Please be aware that charges and timings will vary for delivery to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isles of Scilly, Orkney, Shetland and other Scottish islands with deliveries taking up to 8 days for outlying areas. The actual delivery cost and timings will be displayed during checkout.

We dispatch our items from Monday to Sunday using the following couriers: Interlink and Royal Mail.

Delivery locations and exceptions

We ship to all areas of the UK. For outlying areas we will try to deliver to the timeframes above, but there may be some occasions when there might be a delay. In these circumstances we will contact you to let you know and keep you updated at all times.

Requirements to sign for delivery

Some of our items require a signature; we will let you know about those that do so that you can arrange to be available for delivery.

Missed delivery

If we try to deliver and you are not available our courier will leave a calling card to advise you about what to do next. This will detail how many further delivery attempts we will make before the items are returned to us and you may be able to pick up your item from your local depot if this is more convenient. If you would like us to help rearrange your delivery, please let us know.

Returns & Cancellation Policy

Changed your mind?

That’s no problem. All of our Tesco Partners offer the same Tesco direct policy as a minimum, the full details of which can be found on our Returns Policy page.

Charges for returns

We will cover the cost of returning an item, whatever your reason for wanting to return.

Returns guidelines

Please let us have any original packaging, tabs, labels and accessories, and please package it all securely. If you’re returning an item because you’ve changed your mind, there may be a deduction from your refund if it has been damaged, opened more than necessary to check it’s working, or used more than reasonably expected.

Is your purchase faulty or damaged?

We do our best to make sure everything works perfectly, but if it doesn’t, please contact us.  Within the first 30 days we will issue a refund or replacement item to you. Outside of the first 30 days we will be able to advise on the options to repair, replace or refund your item.
