About us

At Mountain Warehouse, we’ve been developing the very best outdoor gear for all the family since 1997.Unlike other outdoor retailers, we don’t carry lots of different brands. In fact, almost all the products we sell in our stores and online, are exclusive to Mountain Warehouse – you won’t find them anywhere else. Why do we do this? Well, by designing our own top quality products and having them made to our exacting standards, we can cut out the middleman. That means you get the same quality, but at significantly lower prices than you’ll find at other shops. We have well located and well stocked stores where you and your family can get straightforward advice from our knowledgeable, friendly staff. In most of our stores you can even bring your dog in too. Everything we do is focused on serving a growing group of customers who like what we have to offer: the best gear, the best service, and the best prices.

Delivery rates and timescales

Click & Collect FREE on all Tesco direct orders Order by 2pm (Monday-Friday) and collect in store next day
Express delivery £5.95 Order by 2pm (Monday-Friday) for delivery next day
Standard delivery £3.00 Order by 2pm (Monday-Friday) for delivery within 2-5 days

Please be aware that charges and timings will vary for delivery to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isles of Scilly, Orkney, Shetland and other Scottish islands with deliveries taking up to 8 days for outlying areas. The actual delivery cost and timings will be displayed during checkout.

All our orders are sent on a tracked service.

We ship Monday - Friday, excluding bank holidays.

Delivery locations and exceptions

We make every effort to ensure your products are delivered within the set time frame, but unfortunately we cannot guarantee that delivery will not be affected by unexpected issues faced by our delivery partners. Under these circumstances we will keep you updated with progress, although delivery charges will not normally be refunded.

Requirements to sign for delivery

If you are home when our courier calls you may be asked for a signature. If you’re not home, your parcel may be left in a safe place or posted through your letter box if possible.

Missed delivery

If it is not possible to leave your parcel, a card will be left. Three delivery attempts will be made before your parcel is returned to us, at which point we will contact you for further instructions.

That’s no problem. All of our Tesco Partners offer the same Tesco direct policy as a minimum, the full details of which can be found here Returns Policy page.

Charges for returns

We provide a returns label with all orders. If you return an unwanted item by post to be refunded, a charge of £3 will be deducted from your total refund. If your item is faulty, mislabelled, not as described or we have sent you the wrong thing, you can send this back to us free of charge. We offer FREE exchanges within the UK.

The estimated cost when returning items is £3. For exchanges it is free.

Returns guidelines

Please let us have any tabs, labels and accessories, and please package it all securely. If you’re returning an item because you’ve changed your mind, there may be a deduction from your refund if it has been damaged, opened more than necessary to check it’s working, or used more than reasonably expected.

Please use the returns label included with your dispatch note and take your parcel to any Royal Mail Post Office. Our label provides a tracked service - please keep a copy of your postage receipt.

Is your purchase faulty or damaged?

We do our best to make sure everything works perfectly, but if it doesn’t, please contact us.  Within the first 30 days we will issue a refund or replacement item to you.  Outside of the first 30 days we will be able to advise on the options to repair, replace or refund your item.

Unless otherwise stated, all our products have a 12-month guarantee. One of our friendly customer service team will be happy to assist you. This does not affect your statutory rights.
