Mothercare is a specialist retailer of products for mothers-to-be, babies and children up to the age of eight, with over 50 years experience. With this experience comes a wealth of parenting and pregnancy advice, all of which we love to share with you. So whether you need inspiration for your nursery or are stuck on which of our car seats to choose from, we know we have the expertise and information to help you make these important choices. Mothercare opened its first store in 1961 in Surrey and now offers a wide range of maternity and children's clothing, furniture and home furnishings, bedding, feeding and bathing equipment, travel equipment and toys.

Deliveries are made Monday-Friday between 9am and 17:30pm, during peak times your delivery may arrive between 7.30am and 9pm.

Delivery locations and exceptions

Standard Delivery option covers all UK Mainland post codes and UK Out of Area post codes (which includes Northern Ireland and Scottish Highlands post codes).

Express Delivery is currently available for UK Mainland post codes only.

Missed delivery

If you are not in when we attempt delivery, we will leave you a card so that you can rearrange delivery at a convenient time, alternatively we may leave your parcel with a neighbour and leave you a card to advise you.

Returns & Cancellation Policy

Changed your mind?

That’s no problem. All of our Tesco Partners offer the same Tesco direct policy as a minimum, the full details of which can be found here Returns Policy page.

Exclusions - toiletries, software, food (including formula milk), and opened mattresses. *This does not affect your rights if the product is faulty or mis-described.

Charges for returns

If you change your mind and wish to return your item you will need to pay for the cost of return. Of course, if the item you have received is damaged or faulty, we will cover the cost of the return. Should you require an unwanted item to be collected this can be arranged by calling 0344 875 5222.Most of our items can be returned using the Royal Mail, however our larger items may need to be returned by courier. If this is the case we estimate the cost of courier returns to be approximately £30. For change of mind returns you can either arrange your own courier or we can arrange for our courier to collect from you. If you choose this option we will deduct the cost of the return from your refund.

Returns guidelines

Please let us have any tabs, labels and accessories, and please package it all securely. If you’re returning an item because you’ve changed your mind, there may be a deduction from your refund if it has been damaged, opened more than necessary to check it’s working, or used more than reasonably expected.

To arrange a return, please follow the instructions on the reverse of the delivery advice note and use the returns form and label provided in your order. All returns are to be posted to this address:

Is your purchase faulty or damaged?

We do our best to make sure everything works perfectly, but if it doesn’t, please contact us.  Within the first 30 days we will issue a refund or replacement item to you.  Outside of the first 30 days we will be able to advise on the options to repair, replace or refund your item.
