About us

The best things happen around the big wooden table in our family kitchen. Birthday celebrations, late night chats, Christmas dinner, and … business ideas! In April 2012 Lime Tree was born, rather aptly, in the heart of our Kentish village home: Lime Tree Cottage.

We produce gorgeous traditional English products that will make special gifts or add a stylish touch to your home at affordable prices.

Everything we make is of the highest quality, using cottons and natural fabrics. We are always working on exciting new techniques and take the time to source lovely fabrics to create something truly unique. Our products have a luxurious yet handmade feel and we focus our attention on detail such as pretty vintage style appliqués. Come and fall in love with our country cottage style!

Please be aware that charges and timings will vary for delivery to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isles of Scilly, Orkney, Shetland and other Scottish islands with deliveries taking up to 8 days for outlying areas. The actual delivery cost and timings will be displayed during checkout.

We ship our items using MyHermes and Royal Mail. Confirmation of the courier will be sent with your dispatch note.

We opertate from Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm excluding Bank Holidays. For orders placed over a weekend or Bank Holiday we will disptach your item on the next working day.

Delivery locations and exceptions

We ship to all areas of the UK. For outlying areas we will try to deliver to the timescales above but there might be ocassions when there may be a delay. In these circumstances we will contact you to let you know and keep you updated.

Requirements to sign for delivery

Most of our items will not require a signature. However we will let you know about those items that do need a signature so that you can arrange to be available for delivery.

Missed delivery

If we try to deliver and you are not available our courier will leave a calling card to advise you what to do next. The courier will attempt a further two deliveries before the items are returned to us.

Returns & Cancellation Policy

Changed your mind?

That’s no problem. All of our Tesco Partners offer the same Tesco direct policy as a minimum, the full details of which can be found here Returns Policy page.

We are happy to accept returns of all our products.

Charges for returns

If you change your mind and wish to return your item you will need to pay the cost of the return .Of course, if the item you have received is damaged or faulty, we will cover the cost of the return.

Most of our items can be returned by Royal Mail. Larger items may need to be returned by courier. If this is the case we estimate the cost will be approximately £5.00

Returns guidelines

Please let us have any tabs, labels and accessories, and please package it all securely. If you’re returning an item because you’ve changed your mind, there may be a deduction from your refund if it has been damaged, opened more than necessary to check it’s working, or used more than reasonably expected.

We hope you like your purchase but if you wish to return it to us you can do so via sending the item back to us at our postal address shown below.

Is your purchase faulty or damaged?

We do our best to make sure everything works perfectly, but if it doesn’t, please contact us.  Within the first 30 days we will issue a refund or replacement item to you.  Outside of the first 30 days we will be able to advise on the options to repair, replace or refund your item.
