About us

Set up in 2005 by entrepreneur sisters Jenny & Wendy, Kids Toy Cupboard is a leading brand shop & worldwide internet retailer selling a range of baby/toddler items based in Stalybridge. With a vast and unique product range of over 7000 products and introducing around 200-300 new items per month to keep up with demand Kids Toy Cupboard is the only baby and toddler shop you will ever need.

We have recently relocated to a much larger warehouse in Ashton under Lyne, although our shop in Stalybridge is still open to the public. We employ mainly mothers and fathers of school age children looking to work flexible school hours and try our best to help the local schools and community with regular donations.

Please be aware that charges and timings will vary for delivery to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isles of Scilly, Orkney, Shetland and other Scottish islands with deliveries taking up to 8 days for outlying areas. The actual delivery cost and timings will be displayed during checkout.

Your order will be delivered between 8am and 9pm Monday to Friday, or Saturday 8am to 1pm. Unfortunately we cannot specify a time of day for your order to be delivered, and we are also unable to confirm whether your order will arrive in the morning or the afternoon.

Delivery locations and exceptions

We ship to all areas of the UK. For outlying areas we will try to deliver to the timeframes above, but there may be some occasions when there might be a delay. In these circumstances we will contact you to let you know and keep you updated at all times.

Requirements to sign for delivery

We currently use the following carriers to deliver larger items: Fastway, DPD, DHL, TNT which will require a signature & Royal Mail 1st class for smaller parcels.

Missed delivery

Should you not be at home when we try to deliver your parcel we will post a card with a contact number to rearrange the delivery.

Returns Policy

Changed your mind?

That’s no problem. All of our Tesco Partners offer the same Tesco direct policy as a minimum, the full details of which can be found on our Returns Policy page.

Any returns due to cancellation or change of mind must be paid for by you.

Prices will vary for return, but on average a small parcel via Royal Mail should not cost more the £3. Large items will be £9.99 via courier.

Charges for returns

If you change your mind and wish to return your item you will need to pay for the cost of return. Of course, if the item you have received is damaged or faulty, we will cover the cost of the return.

Most of our items can be returned using Royal Mail, however our larger items may need to be returned by courier. If this is the case we estimate the cost of courier returns to be approximately £8-10. For change of mind returns you can either arrange your own courier or we can arrange for our courier to collect from you. If you choose this option we will deduct the cost of the return from your refund.

Returns guidelines

Please let us have any original packaging, tabs, labels and accessories, and please package it all securely. If you’re returning an item because you’ve changed your mind, there may be a deduction from your refund if it has been damaged, opened more than necessary to check it’s working, or used more than reasonably expected.

Please contact us prior to making a return so we can ensure you have all the correct return information.

Is your purchase faulty or damaged?

We do our best to make sure everything works perfectly, but if it doesn’t, please contact us. Within the first 30 days we will issue a replacement item to you. Outside of the first 30 days we will be able to advise on the options to repair, replace or refund your item.
