Established in 1921 F.W. Evans Cycles opened on the Kennington Road in south east London. Trading from this site for thirty years, F.W Evans Cycles built up a strong reputation as a quality cycle shop.

Our own brand, Pinnacle launched in October 2006 offering a range of bikes which have proved extremely popular with our core customers. The FWE brand of accessories and parts was introduced in 2013.

In 2013 Evans Cycles launched the exclusive HOY bikes range; working in collaboration with Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy to design and develop an exciting collection of road, commuter and track bikes. This range continues to evolve and grow, most recently adding ‘proper’ children’s bikes to the collection

Return, Warranties and Refunds:


90 Day returns on unused products
Any item, except food, videos, DVD’s, face masks, RIDEIT events and software can be returned to us for any reason within 90 days, provided it has not been used or fitted, and is returned in its original packaging with a valid proof of purchase.
Refunds will be processed using the same method of payment used for the original purchase. Credit & debit card refunds must be made to the card used for the original purchase. Due to the high incidence of fraud we regret that we are unable to offer any refund without a valid receipt.

Returning you purchase by post

To initiate a return, visit Tesco’s Direct Online Return Center to request a return authorization.

Once a return request has been submitted, we will review the request within 48 hours, if approved you will receive a response via email, containing a returns form. The returns form should be completed with all the details of why you wish to return your purchase, as your input is invaluable to us when reviewing the products we stock.

Once you have completed the form, cut the return address label from the form, then attach to your parcel. Place a copy of the returns form and if possible the dispatch note or receipt in to the parcel you wish to return.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the item is returned to us in a safe and secure manner, we suggest that you use a recorded postal/courier service. Please ensure that the service you use covers the value of the goods in the parcel. Return shipping costs are non-refundable. If the item is being returned due to our error then any postage will be reimbursed upon assessment.

It can take 5 days for your parcel to reach us dependent on the courier’s service that is used. Once we receive your parcel we will inspect and process your return within 24 hours. Refunds can take up 3/5 days with your bank to appear in your account. You will receive an email update upon the completion for your return. .

You cannot exchange Tesco Direct marketplace items. The quickest and simplest way to resolve any issue is to place a new order for the item you want and return the other item for a refund.

Items paid for in EUR, USD, AUD or JPY will be refunded in that currency. Other orders will be refunded in GBP.

Returning bicycles and bulky objects

We understand it may be difficult for you to arrange a return of bulky items such as bicycles, forks and turbo trainers. We can offer a collection service for these items. Please contact us or call +44 (0)1293 574 900 to arrange.

Please note: Depending on the reasons for returning a bulky item a charge may be incurred for this service. This will be discussed with you prior to arranging the collection.

Additional – orders placed via Tesco Direct marketplace cannot be returned to any Evans Cycles stores. All items will need to be returned via the original origin, alongside proof of purchase, this also includes any exchanges of part cancellations.

A- to-z Guarantee

Place and pay for your Marketplace order through Tesco Direct and your purchase is protected by the A-to-z Safe Buying Guarantee. Tesco Direct automatically transfers your payment to the merchant so you'll never need to pay a merchant directly. Our A-to-z Safe Buying Guarantee covers both the delivery of your item and its condition upon receipt.

Legal warranty

Warranty Claims: All products ordered from Evans Cycles come with a full warranty which covers manufacturing faults and defects in workmanship.

Please note: In some cases the manufacturer/supplier or Evans Cycles may require to see the item(s) before repair or replacement can take place. If this is the case we will inform you and arrange how to do this.

All used items being returned to us must be cleaned for hygiene purposes.

On receipt of your goods we will carry out a full inspection & contact you within 3 working days of receipt.

Proof of purchase is also required with all potential warranty claims.

Warranty Liability Terms & Conditions

Ex-Display & Soiled bike, parts, accessories and clothing are items that have imperfections or have suffered wear during the course of sale here at Evans Cycles. They include ex-display or ex-demo items, items that have been returned by customers or items that are missing parts. If parts are missing we would have been unable to source the exact original replacements but with a little bit of handiwork from your side these could be restored to full working condition. Please read defects description and view images for full details. We are unable to supply these items Internationally

Returns & Warranty Policy: Our standard returns policy does not apply to this item, returns must be made within 14 days of purchase. This item is sold with a 6 month limited warranty due to each item being unique in condition. In instances where an item cannot be repaired under warranty then an Evans Cycles credit of equal value to the soiled item purchase price will be issued.

Delivery is charged per item for bulky items.

Items will be dispatched as they are available. You will be notified by email once your order has been dispatched. We use a combination of couriers and postal delivery services. You may receive tracking details to follow progress of your order.

Please be aware that charges and timings will vary for delivery to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isles of Scilly, Orkney, Shetland and other Scottish islands with deliveries taking up to 8 days for outlying areas. The actual delivery cost and timings will be displayed during checkout.

We dispatch our items from Monday to Sunday using the following couriers: Royal Mai, DPD, DHL, Tuffnels and P2P.

Delivery locations and exceptions

We ship to all areas of the UK. For outlying areas we will try to deliver to the timeframes above, but there may be some occasions when there might be a delay. In these circumstances we will contact you to let you know and keep you updated at all times.

Requirements to sign for delivery

All of our items will require a signature; please ensure you are available to sign for your order when it is delivered.

Missed delivery

If we try to deliver and you are not available our courier will leave a calling card to advise you about what to do next. This will detail how many further delivery attempts we will make before the items are returned to us and you may be able to pick up your item from your local depot, if this is more convenient. If you would like us to help rearrange your delivery, please let us know.

Changed your mind?

That’s no problem. All of our Tesco Partners offer the same Tesco direct policy as a minimum, the full details of which can be found on our Returns Policy page.

Charges for returns

If you change your mind and wish to return your item you will need to pay for the cost of return. Of course, if the item you have received is damaged or faulty, we will cover the cost of the return.

All of our items can be returned by standard post.

Returns guidelines

Please let us have any original packaging, tabs, labels and accessories, and please package it all securely. If you’re returning an item because you’ve changed your mind, there may be a deduction from your refund if it has been damaged, opened more than necessary to check it’s working, or used more than reasonably expected.

Please contact us prior to returning your item so that we can issue you with a returns number. This helps us to identify your return and ensure we can process your refund quickly.

Is your purchase faulty or damaged?

We do our best to make sure everything works perfectly, but if it doesn’t, please contact us. Within the first 30 days we will issue a refund or replacement item to you.  Outside of the first 30 days we will be able to advise on the options to repair, replace or refund your item.
