About us

My name is Helen Chapman and a warm welcome to our range of “dottyfish” soft leather baby shoes + bibs + bobs. As a mum of two I know only too well how hard it is to find baby shoes that look good but more importantly are practical, stay on and reasonably priced too! We have tried and hopefully succeeded in creating a range of baby shoes that are stylish and affordable.

It all started in January of 2006, when my son Joshua, was not yet one, and he was given a gift of a pair of baby shoes that were very expensive. I wanted to purchase some more but I couldn’t find anything at a reasonable price. I decided to do some research to see if I could come up with a more affordable shoe. This developed into “ShimmyShoes”, my first range of baby shoes. They proved very popular and went from strength to strength. I decided in July 2009, with things tough for everyone, to introduce a recession friendly shoe, and the “My Twinkle Toe” range was introduced along with a new website.

“My Twinkle Toes” was featured as a successful on-line business and was shown as part of the ITV Programme “Tonight”.

We have carried on expanding, introducing more and more designs and all at affordable prices so there is something for everyone!

We are constantly adding new lines to the collection and as we now do more than soft leather baby shoes we decided to re-brand and we have now become “dottyfish leather baby shoes + bibs + bobs”. We hope to continue to offer all you parents out there, affordable, fun and stylish items to suit your babies and toddlers!

Please be aware that charges and timings will vary for delivery to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isles of Scilly, Orkney, Shetland and other Scottish islands with deliveries taking up to 8 days for outlying areas. The actual delivery cost and timings will be displayed during checkout.

Delivery locations and exceptions

We ship to all areas of the UK. For outlying areas we will try to deliver to the timeframes above, but there may be some occasions when there might be a delay. In these circumstances we will contact you to let you know and keep you updated at all times.

Requirements to sign for delivery

Some of our items require a signature; we will let you know about those that do so that you can arrange to be available for delivery.

Missed delivery

If we try to deliver and you are not available our courier will leave a calling card to advise you about what to do next. This will detail how many further delivery attempts we will make before the items are returned to us and you may be able to pick up your item from your local depot if this is more convenient. If you would like us to help rearrange your delivery, please let us know.

Returns & Cancellation Policy

Changed your mind?

That’s no problem. All of our Tesco Partners offer the same Tesco direct policy as a minimum, the full details of which can be found on our Returns Policy page.

Charges for returns

If you change your mind and wish to return your item you will need to pay for the cost of return. Of course, if the item you have received is damaged or faulty, we will cover the cost of the return.

Returns guidelines

Please let us have any tabs, labels and accessories, and please package it all securely. If you’re returning an item because you’ve changed your mind, there may be a deduction from your refund if it has been damaged, opened more than necessary to check it’s working, or used more than reasonably expected.

Is your purchase faulty or damaged?

We do our best to make sure everything works perfectly, but if it doesn’t, please contact us.  Within the first 30 days we will issue a refund or replacement item to you.  Outside of the first 30 days we will be able to advise on the options to repair, replace or refund your item.
