Perennial flower bulbs. Allium sphaerocephalon is an eye-catching garden perennial. These ornamental onions are an unusual variety with their rich reddish-purple heads which are quite often referred to as drumsticks. They make a wonderful statement when planted in groups. This allium variation can be used for naturalising in borders and will also gently self-sow. These are bee-friendly, so are ideal for pollinators, they also make excellent, long-lasting cut flowers and can also be dried for display.
